Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Stage Gods ("we", "us", "our") is building a rhythm game for drummers. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and how we use it. We keep it deliberately simple, because we collect very little.
Who we are
Stage Gods is the data controller for the information collected here. If you have any questions about your data or this policy, email us at [email protected].
What we collect
When you register your interest, we collect only what you enter in the form:
- Email address (required) — so we can contact you.
- Name (optional) — so we can address you.
- Instrument(s) you play (optional) — to help us prioritise which instruments to support.
- A record that you consented to updates, and the date and time you registered.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics on this site. We don't collect anything beyond what you type into the form.
Why we use it (our legal basis)
We use your details for one purpose: to email you occasional progress updates about Stage Gods. Our legal basis is your consent — the box you ticked when registering. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Where it's stored
Your details are stored securely using Cloudflare, our hosting and database provider, which processes the data on our behalf. Data may be processed on servers outside the UK/EEA; appropriate safeguards apply to any such transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them, or until we no longer need them for the waitlist. After that, we delete them.
Sharing
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. The only parties involved are our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) and, when we start sending updates, an email delivery service — both acting only on our instructions.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- object to or restrict how we use it.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected], or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send you. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] and we'll remove you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
